Painter | Maureen Little

My paintings are evocations of places that have had a particular resonance for me. The landscape of the Yorkshire Dales is a continuous source of inspiration and visits to Scotland and abroad have also stimulated work.

I am interested in the underlying structure of the landscape and the patina on it's surface created by plants, animals, the elements and the fragile, transitory human presence.

"Experience is never limited and it is never complete; it is an immense sensibility, a kind of huge spider web of the finest silk threads suspended in the chamber of consciousness and catching every airborne particle in its tissue." Henry James
